During the current phase the project will implement the following activities:

  Designing action plan
  Defining working methodology
  Starting awareness campaign
  Recruiting staff for field work
  Developing working materials and tools including questionnaires

• January, 2002
  Preparing the survey
  Identifying focal points
  Training the teams for field work
  Making appointments with stakeholders

• February, 2002
  Meeting key people within envisaged institutions
  Training the teams for field work
  Starting survey in Maputo City only (for piloting purposes)

• March, 2002
  Evaluating preliminary results from Maputo survey
  Developing National SCAN ICT web page (draft)

• April - May, 2002
  Finalizing the survey in Maputo
  Analyzing and evaluating the collected data

• June - August, 2002
  Extending survey to the rest of the country
  Evaluating preliminary results from the other provinces
  Finalizing the survey

• September - October, 2002
  Analyzing and evaluating the collected data
  Preparing and delivering final report
