The main goal of this project is to contribute in building ICT capacity and
development in Mozambique and in the Region. Specifically SCAN ICT aims at
the following objectives:
- Collect and disseminate ICT related
information in Mozambique
- Create statistical databases with
national information aiming at:
- Providing useful and reliable
information for the Government and other IT intervenients (donor
agencies, private sector, NGO's, educational and research institutions);
- Helping in promoting coordinated and
harmonized efforts in IT development;
- Sharing existing knowledge, expertise
and resources;
- Facilitating the implementation of
appropriate technologies in the country;
- Providing useful information for
regional collaboration and integration in IT;
- Promoting effective use of national
capacity and
- Creating public awareness on the
importance of ICT for the development process.
